VALKYRIE ELYSIUM
Role: Localization Project Manager (2022)
Platforms: PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, PC
Project Overview
Reviving a classic series for a modern audience, Valkyrie Elysium required a localization strategy that would both satisfy long-time fans and attract new players. The project's success hinged on delivering high-quality voice-over production and script adaptation under a tight, multi-region release schedule.
My Role & Responsibilities
Audio Localization Management: I acted as the central point of contact for the entire voice-over production pipeline for all EFIGS languages. This included managing casting, script adaptation, recording schedules, and the final audio file integration.
Cross-Functional Sync: I orchestrated the workflow between script translators, voice actors, audio engineers, and the development team to ensure the translated dialogue not only matched the on-screen timing but also captured the emotional intent of the original performances.
Schedule Optimization: Facing a condensed timeline, I developed a content delivery schedule that prioritized critical-path assets. This allowed for parallel workstreams, enabling recording to begin on finalized scripts while others were still in adaptation, ultimately ensuring an on-time release across all regions.
